Based on that established in Chapter VII of Accord 279, published in Mexico’s Diario Oficial de la Federación as well as that stipulated in section XII.7 of student regulations.
CENTRO ENCOURAGES all enrolled students interested in applying for a Mexican Ministry of Public Education (acronym in Spanish: SEP) scholarship to visit the application registry and receiving office.
Support students with proven financial need as well as strong academic performance.
This scholarship exempts students from paying a percentage of registration fees and tuition according to agreed upon terms.
3. Applicant Eligibility
Final awards and percentages will be granted based on application demand.
a) Visit the Registrar’s Office during the established timeframe with requested financial aid application and documents.
b) If the student is a first-year applicant, his/her performance during the admissions process must fall within the top 50%.
c) If the student is a post first-year applicant his/her CENTRO GPA must be equal to or greater than 9.0. For first-year applicants, awards will be determined based on admissions examination results, bachillerato or other college preparatory studies GPA, and interviews with the program director of the degree to be studied.
d) The student’s academic record should be free of failing grades.
e) A socio-economic study undertaken by CENTRO and paid for by the student that reveals the student or student’s family’s economic need (the latter in the case that the student is a family dependent).
a) In accord with that stipulated in chapter VII, article 33 of accord 279 (Diario Oficial de la Federación), CENTRO grants a minimum number of scholarships equivalent to 5% of total students enrolled in officially accredited study plans.
b) Demanding payment or irregular activities that could in any way be interpreted as consideration for the granted SEP scholarships is strictly prohibited.
c) The fund for these scholarships is made up of CENTRO proprietary resources.
d) The socioeconomic study is based on external-personnel corroboration of declared application data and will be realized via an applicant home visit.
This scholarship is maintained as long as the student sustains an average of 9.0 in his/her licenciatura degree program and meets general academic guidelines.
a) CENTRO will consider undeliverable such applications as do not provide complete required documentation or that are submitted after deadlines.
b) Applications from applicants who cannot be located after two attempts at scheduling an appointment for their corresponding socioeconomic examinations will be nullified.
8. Application Process Calendar
Application distribution period: 19 to 23 November 2014.
Application acceptance period: 26 and 27 November 2014.

The business hours for application distribution and receipt will be from 10 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 6 pm.
