Social Design Hub
We are a transversal area of CENTRO that promotes research-action through projects that generate social value, privileging a design vision focused on context, people and sustainability. Since 2018, we are part of DESIS, a global network of university laboratories focused on design for social innovation and sustainability.
What do we do in the Social Design Hub?
We identify challenges and opportunities, generate proposals, academic and social service projects, to positively impact our community and partner organizations, through the involvement of students, teachers, collaborators and neighbors.

Students performing their social service at the Hub can explore topics of their interest that add value to our community, either by following up and implementing proposals designed in class, participating in the development of existing workshops, or collaborating with partner organizations and institutions.

As part of the social service, students can perform specific tasks aligned to their fields of knowledge, either individually or in teams. Micro-challenges may consist of activities and projects of the Social Design Hub, as well as partner organizations, generally located in the CENTRO perimeter.
