The Master’s Program in Housing in the 21st Century addresses collective housing as one of the most relevant and urgent issues in contemporary architecture, both in Mexico and globally. Throughout the program, students develop original and current proposals that explore the typological flexibility of 21st century domestic spaces. Unique in its kind for its focus on the needs of the contemporary context, the master’s program includes the participation of outstanding architects who promote sustainable and innovative housing solutions.

Curriculum

Who is it aimed at?

  • Architects, urban planners, civil engineers and developers.
  • Interest in the creation and management of sustainable and innovative housing projects.
  • Must have knowledge of future group housing trends.
What will you be able to work on?
  • Graduates will be able to develop innovative and sustainable housing projects adapted to the needs of the 21st century.
  • They will be able to plan and manage collective housing projects, with emphasis on socio-environmental sustainability.
  • They will integrate typological, technological and design solutions to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants.
  • They may work as collective housing designers, urban and housing design directors or housing infrastructure coordinators.

Architect from the Escuela Superior de Arquitectura de Barcelona and Doctor in Architecture from the Universidad Europea de Madrid. Director of the magazine Arquine, member of the Sistema Nacional de Creadores del FONCA and Advisor to the Secretaría de Cultura de la Ciudad de México. Winner of the Graham Foundation Editor’s Fellowship and author of books such as La sombra del cuervo.
